Hot on the heels of last week's On the Spot appearance (okay, maybe lukewarm), today we bring you a new batch of screenshots and a gameplay video that shows off some new SBCG4AP locations. Now you can finally hear what Strong Bad has to say, without Brett and the interviewer talking over it! (And without me lurking in the side of the frame like an unaware moron!)
Click any of the thumbnails above to see the screenshot gallery, and head over to the Strong Bad page to check out the gameplay video. And if you're looking for more details about the game, like when it's coming out and what you'll get to do in it, make sure to read last week's rundown of the state of things.
Oh, one last goodie... make sure to check out Strong Bad's latest dev blog, in which he leaks an early tech demo we never intended to let you guys see...
I never thought SBCG4AP would be T......hm. The cartoons always were "E10+" level.

You'd think that, but if the ESRB has some very specific conditions for their ratings. If the cartoons were submitted to the ESRB, most of them would be rated teen. And most of the Teen Girl Squads would get an M rating! It's true!

T? I can see where that's coming from, but... dang. I'm glad my 13th was a week ago, I guess.

Team girl squad would not be "M"
They would be teen
there are tuns of games that are bloody, villent and darkly hummorous and rated T
Though I think the game rated T is a little crazzy

Or maybe you should let the people who actually know what they're talking about speak.

Heh. The first time we submitted Teen Girl Squad to the ESRB ratings requirements we actually were told that the content would get us an M rating! There are just certain things that automatically get you that rating no matter how cartoony they are. I wont go into the details, but much of the stuff you regularly see in TGS is included in that!

or like when they get "MANIAC IN A SPEEDO'D" or when they get "DRIVERS ED'D" or get crushed by trees, get a "bad rating" aka getting speared, or eating staple sauce...
i just had to list those im done now. seriously though, theres a lot of stuff the esrb wouldnt like, probably just saying "crap" a few times would bump you up to teen

Given the tech demo, I think the game should be rated M. I mean, seriously, there is a mustached FRENCH MAN!

Garbage disposal, what a way to go! Yes, the ESRB can be picky. But it doesnt matter, cause you can buy it anyway!

So, out of curiosity, what did you guys do to stop the Teen Girl Squad stuff from getting an M rating?

Where Is The Demo

The demo is in Strong Bad's blog, Dustin. Btw, I'm frankly not surprised that the game got a Teen rating. I remember one Homestar cartoon in which he had these trading cards like Cabbage Patch Kids, but they had pictures of horrible things happening to residents of the town, including his girlfriend! Just an example of the messed up things that go on in Strong Badia.
PS: Did you guys actually tone Teen Girl Squad down, or did you make it more subtle, or what?

Did those "On the Spot" people even know about HSR before preparing for the interview? Don't get me started about the Stinkoman reference. I found that part of the interview just sad...for all parties involved

Free Country, USA is where the cartoons are set. Strong Badia is Strong Bad's backyard.
