In a little over 24 hours, we Americans should have a new president.* Whew.

If you are in the US (and old enough), we hope you're planning to vote tomorrow. It could just be the most important thing you do for the next four years. And hey, guess what?! We have a completely free, no-strings-attached politically-relevant game to get you in the mood!

(Of course, if you're not in the US and/or are not old enough to vote, you can still entertain yourself with the free game while tomorrow's events unfold. Better to laugh with us than at us, after all.)

Look what we got in the mail today!



I preordered Sam & Max Wii from GameStop last week when they offered the free overnight shipping deal. (The disc on the left is the GameStop preorder bonus.) If you did too, go check your mailbox! Also, please let us know when you start seeing the game in stores... rumor has it it's already on the shelves on the east coast.

The Season Two soundtrack also arrived at the office today and a zillion copies are en route to our warehouse as we speak, which means preorders will probably ship next week. (It's beautiful, and less dark than in that picture. Here's a better version.)

Get free overnight shipping on Sam & Max Wii

Your preorder options: busty lady with big guns, or dog and rabbity thing with big guns. Do you even have to think about it?

Sam & Max Season One for Wii is going through the final spit and polish phase in manufacturing, and will start shipping to stores in North America early next week. How quickly it gets to your local store after that depends on a few factors -- such as your proximity to the manufacturing plant (I think it's in Atlanta), whether the delivery truck gets stuck in a hurricane, and your overall karma -- but it should be everywhere very soon. As you start seeing Sam & Max Wii in the shops, please email us to let us know where. (You get bonus points if you send a picture!)

If you can't be bothered to check the store, GameStop.com is giving you the perfect excuse to preorder by offering free overnight shipping. The deal is only good for 24 hours so don't delay! (And don't forget, you get a nifty bonus CD when you place a preorder with GameStop...)

Sam & Max Wii coming Oct. 7 in North America!

Ladies and gentlemen, we have a release date! (For North America, anyway.*) Starting October 7, you will be able to walk into a store, hand over $29.99, and get a shiny new copy of Sam & Max Season One for your Wii. We know some of you have been waiting for Sam & Max on the Wii for a long time now, and after two years of rumors and anticipation, it's finally a reality.

To celebrate the first Sam & Max console release ever, GameStop has a special preorder deal going on: reserve your copy of the game, and when it arrives you'll also get a free bonus CD with a behind the scenes featurette, trailers, desktop wallpapers, and an MP3 soundtrack sampler. (This is the same CD that came with the retail PC version.) The deal is good on their website and in stores.

Okay, so here's how you can help. Back when the Wii rumors first started up, there was a ton of movement on the internet as fans let us know just how much you wanted Sam & Max on the Wii. It's time to put that excitement to good use. Now that the release is approaching, you can really help us out by preordering and proving that Sam & Max is a perfect fit for the Wii, and the type of game retailers should be stocking. It's not just a line... preorders really do make a difference!

Please help us show the world that games like Sam & Max -- games that are funny, tell great stories, and are pretty damn entertaining even without a body count -- have a place in the market. I mean, we've already seen that when a lot of people all ask for the same thing, it CAN make a difference. It's one of the reasons Sam & Max made it to Wii in the first place. Now, let's make it count.
