A premature burial indeed... Obviously an allusion to LucasArts pulling the plug on Freelance Police. LEC, watch out for Max's killin' hands if you know what's good for you!

It's so great that Sam and Max is back. Sam and Max's humor inspired a lot of my own, from the comics and the game. I get so excited when a new comic gets posted!

Brilliant stuff.
Lucasarts are gonna paaaaaaaaay!
Comment by Ferret January 14, 2006, 8:48 am
The animated style is nice, but using it to animate dialog isn't a great idea. The comic doesn't update often and so, I check up on it once a week. When a new comic updates, I keep forgeting that you have to mouseover the panels to get the cool comments. Furthermore, some browsers (I won't mention them cause I don't want this to degrade into a flamewar) will put a mini toolbar in the upper left corner obscruing some of the text. I had to save the upper image to disk to get Max's punchline on whether Sam found his puppy.
Comment by Jryvn January 14, 2006, 9:15 am
To the above poster, you can go into your browser options to get rid of that toolbar. Pretty much all browsers will do that unless you go disable it (which is pretty easy to do).
Comment by Lego January 14, 2006, 10:18 am
I had that too, but all you have to do is right click it and click remove toolbar...
Comment by Mike January 14, 2006, 1:03 pm
Is Sam looking up Page 3 of that newspaper? ;)
Comment by Z.K.I. January 14, 2006, 5:04 pm
I wouldnt mind seeing Max take to Mike Nelson and show him a few of his "marketplace realities"
Comment by hierohero January 14, 2006, 10:19 pm
Scaly-ass huh?
Comment by Sean January 15, 2006, 11:08 am
I seem to be unable to find this "killing hands" comment made by i assume max. Assistance would be great because i cry at the thought of missing out on jokes in these comics.
Comment by Chris January 15, 2006, 1:24 pm
When Sam and Max ran, I was around 7. I do remember watching it, but thats just about all I remember about it. A couple weeks ago, my brother, (being a big fan of Sam 'n Max) told me that there are new comics! I looked it up and... sweet ^.^... Keep up the good work! "I thought I was you're lucky vermin pal!" Ah-Hah!

Sam and Max are my hero(s). It's good to see them back on the horse. Lucas is a turd farmer.

"Pretty much all browsers will do that unless you go disable it (which is pretty easy to do). "
Uh? I don't mean this to be a flame, merely a correction, but I know of only one that does so. I've used more than ten different ones on three different operating systems.
Comment by Sarahie January 18, 2006, 10:28 am
It's really cool to read new adventures of Sam and Max!

Very nice webcomic indeed.
Comment by Santiago Casares January 18, 2006, 11:36 am
Hey great comic! I am having trouble readin gsome of the panels. In the upper left corner of each panel an icon appears (save print copy) and superimposes 9that means I cant see throught it) any text I am tryin got read
Comment by Bruce January 18, 2006, 11:36 am
Sweet sufferin' je*us in a birch-bark canoe! Sam & Max are back! This is absolutely fantastic. Just last week I'd reinstalled "Hit the Road" on an old DOS computer to play with my fave freelancers.
Comment by hnefatafl January 19, 2006, 8:20 am
we need more updates! i cannot wait for the new game its only been a few years since i got my last S&M fix
Comment by 2Kings January 20, 2006, 5:13 am
SWEET! Sam and Max return in a flash of ink and paint... And a little pent up gas... Seriously, though, I love Sam and Max. I played the original Freelance Police, watched the cartoon before Fox killed it (BASTARDS!) and now worship this infrequently updated mini comic. All hail to the gods of Greasy Snackfoods!
Comment by Roj January 20, 2006, 10:38 am
Ahhhh..... sam and max, full of such memorable quotes like "Either Termites are burrowing through mys skul, or one of us is ticking2. This has to be the greatest webcomic in the world ever. I wish it would update more often, but, eh, you can't always get what you want. Sad really.
Comment by Limb_clock January 22, 2006, 2:34 am
Nah, the way it goes now is great. I'd rather have Mr. Purcell work on the game, anyway.
Comment by SC January 22, 2006, 6:52 am
When those annoying menus pop up over the images, you can right click directly on said menu and choose to hide them either temporarily or permanently.
Comment by helpermcgee January 23, 2006, 7:32 pm
hmmm perhaps all this is foreshadowing what events we might see in a future video game? Sam and Max: Hit the Road "IN ENGLAND!!!" cue cheesy dramtic music....
Comment by LastSon January 23, 2006, 9:05 pm
These two were my childhood heros! (which explains alot, really) It's good to see they live once more! Th style and media fits it perfectly! Ha! and they're in merry ol' England now! Ha! Times are good.
Comment by Half-Dark January 24, 2006, 4:37 pm
I'd like to assume they're talking about Lucasarts but that seems maybe a little too different to the sort of comicy thing Steve usually does. Any chance that when he's finished a few full comics that we'll get to see them wrapped up in a nice cosy proper printed comic book? Or maybe a new book of all the stuff like the last collection only with the stuff that wasn't included in that book? I've said before I'm willing to buy anything Sam and Max realted that you'll sell (assuming the shipping price is changed considerably). Woo! Super long comment!
Comment by Pvt._Public January 25, 2006, 1:19 am
It's bound to happen, seeing as it's the god given right of any comic/game company to engulf the public in a veritable tsunami of syndicated novelties.
Comment by The Dave January 27, 2006, 3:39 pm
Beautiful!
Comment by Id Yiddeli February 22, 2006, 10:03 am
this is awesome. I really liked the interactive panels, granted yeah the first time I didn't realize I had to scroll over to read the text. But once I did, it was so much fun. And the like changing images you used worked very well and your style is beautiful. Mad props to you.
Comment by jora_dyn March 21, 2006, 7:27 pm
I have to disable my image tool bar just to find out what max says before my puppy
Comment by Will November 28, 2006, 2:37 pm
